OVERVIEW

Kalmanson and Co. is a young and energetic law firm that was established in 1997 by Adv. Alon Kalmanson.

Since its establishment, the firm has handled some of the biggest and most complexed cases in Israel.

In the year it was established, the firm represented private entrepreneurs negotiating agreements for the construction and management of resorts and hotels in Israel with the Sheraton and Hilton hotel groups.

In 1998, the firm handled a case relaying to the liquidation of Dunhill – a complex of 4 factories built on 120,000 square meters in Beer Sheva. In 1999, this case developed into one of the biggest director's fraud claims in Israel (in 2002, the district court awarded the liquidator US$ 112 million following a claim filed by our firm).

In 1999, the firm handled the liquidation of the Matok group (one of the biggest food wholesalers in Israel at that time); in 2001 the firm handled the case of Spandex Israel.

In 2002-2003 the firm handled the acquisition of the Hamashbir Lazarchan (the largest department store chain in Israel). Since then, the firm has represented various entrepreneurs in real estate transactions (including the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem), litigated civil cases and acted in some of the acquisitions of the Sano Group and others.

Over the years, we have acquired an excellent reputation and considerable experience in commercial cases in various fields, such as: mergers and acquisitions, commercial and civil litigation, corporate reorganization plans, corporate insolvency and rehabilitation, and real estate transactions.

Combining quality and expertise of a large law firm with the efficiency and attention of a boutique law firm enables us to provide our local and international clients with the high level of legal representation required for the success of their business.

We believe in (and have trained to) finding the right solution to fit any problem, rather than finding the right problem to fit any solution.

Pro-bono activity – the firm believes that specializing in commercial law alone is not enough. We are all committed to contribute to our society. For that reason our firm supports pro-bono activities and contributes to the needy, as well as organizations that operate in the fields of cultural and social activities. Within this framework, the firm represents and advises the Beer Sheva Symphonietta Orchestra.
